Members of the Career and Employment Services Committee (CES) and AIHA Human Resources Director will stage and manage several mock job interviews in an effort to provide attendees tips for the "Do's and Don'ts" of interviewing in today's professional workplace. The goal of this seminar is to provide an interactive experience where attendees can observe and discuss the obstacles and proper style for interviewing. Attendees should leave having gained practical tools and experience to utilize when looking for a new opportunity.

Meet John Henshaw, former Assistant Secretary of Labor for OSHA, as he discusses “Bridging the Gap to Retirement”. John’s career has involved working for a large multinational chemical and pharmaceutical corporation, providing direction to a government agency in transition, and now into consulting. He will focus his attention on how to build your career, choosing the right time to retire, planning for the future and how to best use your skills. John will provide insight into preparing your career at the age of 60, discuss the things that must be considered with your career decisions, and the decision of what to do next. You may want to pursue a new job, pursue a new interest or career, work part-time, teach your skills to others, volunteer with professional and other organizations, or really sit back and relax.
