“Free
Rail Zone,” a 330-block area in downtown Portland,
transportation on all MAX Light Rail trains, trolleys
and streetcars is free. By encouraging use of public
transportation, the Free Rail Zone reduces air
pollution, parking problems and street congestion in the
central city.
Capitalizing on Portland’s reputation for being a
“green” city and offering excellent public
transportation, shuttle service to/from AIHce hotels and
the Oregon Convention Center will not be offered.
